Bengaluru-based startup Windo, solopreneurs and small merchants focused e-commerce enablement platform has raised $1.5 million in pre-Series A round led by Unicorn India Ventures along with the participation of CapriGlobal, Aravind Sanka, M Ganesh and a few others.
The fresh capital will be utilised for product development and overseas expansion, the company said in a press release
Two-year-old Windo lets solopreneurs, influencers, and small and midsize businesses open online stores through an app-first approach. To tap influencers, the company offers an app to start and manage Instagram-focused web stores. Windo claims to have 200K downloads with 50K monthly active users across 140 countries.

Windo competes with the likes of Dukaan, Shopify, Dot and Bikayi among several others. The e-commerce enablement space witnessed heightened competition last year when B Capital-backed Khatabook and OKCredit also launched their respective platforms but both companies abandoned their e-commerce ambitions early this year.
Founded in 2020 by Founders Rakesh Vaddadi, and Silus Reddy. Windo is an app for Instagram-focused businesses lets anyone easily manage the business on the go. Windo raised his first Seed round in June 2021 led by Unicorn India Ventures, Vivek Bhargava, M Ganesh and a few others.
