Eyewear giant Lenskart secured $12.5 Mn (INR 100 Cr) from Ravi Modi Family Trust. For the fresh round of funds, the startup has allotted 4,79,037 Series I CCPS for consideration of $12.5 Mn (INR 99.9 Cr).
Ravi Modi Family Trust is one of the promoters of Kolkata-based Vedant Fashions, which owns brands such as Manyavar, Mohey, and Manthan. It should be noted that Ravi Modi Family Trust is one of the promoters of Kolkata-based Vedant Fashions.

Founded in 2010 by Peyush Bansal, Amit Chaudhury, and Sumeet Kapathi, Lenskart claims to serve 1,00,000 customers per month. The company boasts of serving more than 7 million customers annually through its omnichannel shopping experience, which includes online, mobile, and more than 900 stores in 175 cities around the country. Company expand its operations in 2019 when it entered Singapore.

In the previous year, Lenskart raised $315 Mn from Temasek, Falcon Edge, Bay Capital, KKR, and Chiratae Ventures among others.
Last year, the startup also launched a ‘Vision Fund,’ which would invest $2 million in selected startups that are complementary to the eyewear, eyecare, and omnichannel retail industries.
