CMO Karan Shroff Quits Unacademy

Karan Shroff, Partner and Chief Marketing Officer at Unacademy, has decided to quit. His next professional move has not yet disclosed.

Announcing his decision to quit, Shroff in a LinkedIn post wrote, “I will be hanging my boots at Unacademy. Over 3 years of memories, tons of awards, A great team that taught me a lot and a journey that I will always cherish.”

“I would first like to thank all my team members at Unacademy nothing would be possible without them, I would like to thank all the partners that have stood by me through thick and thin, I would like to thank my mentors who groomed me endlessly, A big thank you to all the leaders at Unacademy who stood by me, and to Gaurav Munjal who always believed in me, lastly I would want to thank my family and friends who stood by me through the darkest times, none of this would’ve been possible without the help of all these folks who only wished me well”.

I have seen a lot of hard times and faced a lot of rejections only to learn that “Success is not an activity but a process” and with that, I hope to drive this process with my head down staying focused and continuing to work endlessly and do justice to everyone who stood by me.

Talking about Shroff’s decision to move on, Gaurav Munjal, CEO & Co-Founder, Unacademy, said  “After over three years of building the Unacademy brand, Karan Shroff, Partner and CMO of Unacademy, has decided to move on. We thank Karan immensely for his contributions towards building Unacademy into one of the most Iconic brands of India. He will transition out of his role after six months at Unacademy. We wish him all the very best for his future endeavours.”

Shroff joined the unacademy in 2019 as Vice President of Marketing. Prior to Unacademy, he led brand marketing at Xiaomi India.
