EaseMyTrip acquires majority stake in Nutana Aviation Capital

Online travel booking website EaseMyTrip has acquired a majority stake in Nutana Aviation Capital. This is the second acquisition for the Mumbai-based company in 2022. Nutana is an aviation asset financing and leasing company.

The board at EaseMyTrip has passed a special resolution to acquire 75% of the stake in Nutana Aviation Capital IFSC Private Limited, under a definitive agreement, a regulatory filing filed with the National stock exchange (NSE) shows.

Nutana Aviation offers charter solutions to clients in India and abroad. It leases charter aircraft enabling operators to run efficiently along with providing charter booking services to its clients, within and outside India.

The strategic acquisition by EaseMyTrip will help the company expand its footprint s to the international markets, the company stated in the filings. Nutana aviation will continue to run and operate and operate as an independent entity, EaseMyTrip further added.

Founded in 2008 by Nishant Pitti, Prashant Pitti, and Rikant Pitti, EaseMyTrip offers deals on flight booking, hotels, and holiday packages. The company has been one of the few bootstrapped startups to hit the public market and has been profitable as well.
