Gan.ai, a generative artificial intelligence-based video creation platform, has raised $5.25 million in its seed funding round led by Surge, which is Sequoia Capital India’s rapid scale-up program. Emergent Ventures and other angel investors participated in the round.
The startup will utilise the funds to expand its operations and hire more engineers and salespeople in India and the United States.
Companies like Swiggy and the IPL team Mumbai Indians shoot a video once, add dynamic keywords to the script, and have the platform create millions of videos that are highly personalized. Moreover, the platform interacts with Shopify, Calendly, Stripe, Salesforce, and Hubspot so that companies can design payment and shopping experiences.
Founded in March 2021 by Suvrat Bhooshan, New Delhi-based Gan.ai was a part of Surge’s seventh cohort and handles clients such as Zomato, Mobile Premier League, Samsung, Vivo, and Bajaj Auto, among others.
