RTP Global led the seed round for AI security and risk management firm SydeLabs, which raised $2.5 million. Renowned angel investors Kunal Shah and Sai Srinivas Kiran participated in the round, as did Picus Capital.
The startup plans to expand its current product line and do research and development (R&D) using the money.
Founded by Ruchir Patwa and Ankita Kumari, SydeLabs offers solutions to identify security and safety vulnerabilities in enterprise AI systems and prevent them in real-time, helping mitigate cybersecurity attacks and abuse.

In order to sell its solution, SydeLabs is seeking to form agreements with large language model (LLM) operating providers. Additionally, it is developing solutions to assist businesses in achieving compliance for their AI applications worldwide.
The firm plans to clock $1 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) by the end of 2024.
