Artificial intelligence-based multilingual dubbing platform Dubdub.ai has raised $1 million in a seed round co-led by Waveform Ventures and Accel Atoms. Forward Slash Capital, Force Ventures, and Marquee investor Aprameya Radhakrishna, Nishant Mungali, Deepak Anchala, Swati Mohan, Gaurav Kapur, and Roshan Abbas also participated in the round.
As per Dubdub.ai, the new capital was used in developing technology capabilities, improving services, and testing use cases for global customers.
Founded in August 2021 by Anubhav, Rahul Sankhwar, Rahul Garg, and Anchal Jaiswal. Dubdub.ai leverages machine learning and artificial intelligence to create multilingual video content for businesses spanning 40+ languages.
Dubdub.ai is currently in a beta phase and claims that its software is up to 10X faster than traditional methods and eliminates the need for a studio to record. On the company’s website, it costs anywhere between $5 to 20 to dub a one-minute long video, and takes up to 5 days to dub requests, according to the company’s website customers include ShareChat, Fincare Bank, GamesKraft, Kutumb, etc.
With the rise of the creators’ economy and digital industries, the demand for editing and dubbing services has been increasing at a rapid rate. Video is the largest player in the overall creators’ tool community. Dubdub.ai is one of the direct competitors for Gurugram-based Dubverse.
