Tata Elxsi plans to hire 5,000 fresher

Bengaluru-based IT services company Tata Elxsi could hire up to 5,000 people in FY23, increasing its 10,000-strong workforce by 50%, reports Livemint.

At a time when most companies are slowing hiring, Bengaluru-based IT services company Tata Elxsi could increase its headcount by 50% till March 2023, Livemint reports quoting the company’s CEO Manoj Raghavan.

The company, which currently employs over 10,000 people, is looking to add both new graduates and experienced workers to its workforce. It plans to bring on board up to 3,500 freshers and 1,500 lateral hires in FY 2022-23.

Tata Elxsi crossed the 10,000-employee mark in the quarter ending June 30, 2022, with 771 net additions in its workforce. For Q1 of FY23, it reported a net profit of ₹184.72 crore, registering a 62% growth from the last year. The shares of the company have risen 38% this year.

In another news, US-based R1 RCM, a technology-driven solutions provider for the healthcare sector, launched its new centre in Chennai on Tuesday. The company plans to hire around 3,000 people for its Chennai centre by the end of this calendar year, reports The Times of India.
